After years of peritoneal dialysis and waiting on the transplant list, this past week brought good news! A perfectly matched kidney was identified and Teresa was notified to be ready to go to the hospital quickly. That call indeed came sooner than expected and the surgery followed soon after. We are thrilled and thankful to announce that Teresa has not only come out of surgery in excellent condition, but the kidney is functioning so well that she was released today! A full recovery will take some time, so we will be monitoring Teresa and her new kidney closely. We welcome everyone’s well wishes and positive energy as Teresa begins the road to recovery and the next chapter of her life!
